William H F Boettcher 1867-1922
Emma Kuehl Boettcher 1868-1922
Emma was not a Wilkowski descendant but she is included here as the daughter of Louise Doering. Her mother, Louise, remarried after the death of Gottlieb. Emma’s father was Fred Kuehl. When she was 24 she married William Boettcher. They were married in Watertown in 1892 by the Rev Johannes H Brockmann at St Mark's Lutheran Church. Witnesses were Herman Boettcher and Anna Boettcher.
After their marriage, William and Emma lived in Fort Atkinson where William worked as a tinsmith. They had three children, Frieda, William, and Erna. Both William ( 1894-1919) and Erna (1902-1917) died before their parents. Frieda (1894-1928) died 6 years later.
